That’s exactly what defines Allie Hodges, Managing Broker and Co-Founder of Our OK Realty. With a passion for leadership and putting people first, Allie has built a brokerage that thrives on collaboration, community, and a culture of generosity.
A Brokerage Built on Strong Foundations
Allie co-founded Our OK Realty with Colbey Webster and Landon Miller, bringing together their diverse expertise to create a unique, agent-focused brokerage. “Colbey, Landon, and I worked together at a land brokerage—one of the top in the state—where we gained invaluable experience,” Allie shares. “Colbey comes from a law enforcement background and is an incredible negotiator. Landon, a home builder with his own company, Miller Homes, adds a deep understanding of construction. I bring my experience from the residential world. Together, we saw an opportunity to build something different.”
That opportunity led to the launch of Our OK Realty in April 2024, after Allie obtained her broker’s license. Colbey & Landon officially joined the venture in June, and since then, the company has grown steadily. Today, it boasts 20 agents, each a specialist in their own niche—whether it’s investment properties, commercial real estate, land development, or remodels.
“We’ve created an economic model that’s generous, not greedy,” Allie explains. “Our goal is to stay small, capping at around 40 agents. We don’t charge high office fees; instead, we invest in one-on-one coaching to help our agents develop their skills and build thriving businesses.”
A Passion for Mentorship and Leadership
Allie’s dedication to mentorship has been a driving force behind the brokerage’s success. “I’ve always been someone who helps others,” she says. “Even before starting my own company, I was supporting agents in my brokerage and beyond. I answer my phone around the clock—it’s just who I am. That passion translated seamlessly into my leadership role.”
Her ability to lead and organize comes naturally. As a mother of seven children, ages 3 to 18, she understands what it takes to keep people motivated and on track. “Running a team, managing schedules, keeping everything moving—it’s all part of being a mom. Those skills directly apply to being a broker.”
Her husband, David, has been a steadfast supporter, always willing to jump in when needed. “We have an incredible support system,” she says. “If you walk into one of our open houses, you’ll see four or five Our OK agents there to help each other. That’s the kind of culture we’ve built.”
Overcoming Obstacles
Allie’s path to success wasn’t without its obstacles. Leaving her previous brokerage was a moment to reassess her priorities, redefine herself, and launch into the future. It wasn’t easy, but she was up for the challenge.
“I was in a place where I didn’t know what was next. I had no intention of becoming a managing broker—I just enrolled in a broker’s class to have another credential.”
That all changed when Colbey posed a game-changing question: “Why don’t you open your own brokerage?” With that encouragement, Our OK Realty was born.
The transition wasn’t easy, but it reinforced Allie’s belief in staying true to her values. “We wanted a brokerage that prioritizes support, community, and ethical business practices. We did extensive market research, taking the best aspects of top brokerages and bundling them into our model. We offer industry-leading compensation, mentoring, and recruiting incentives. Everything we do is structured to retain the best of the best.”
A Culture of Unreasonable Hospitality
One of the cornerstones of Our OK Realty is a commitment to what Allie calls “unreasonable hospitality.” Inspired by the book Unreasonable Hospitality, the team strives to go above and beyond for clients and colleagues alike. “We look for ways to be exceptionally generous and hospitable in all that we do,” Allie says. “It’s woven into our business and our lives.”
This spirit of generosity is evident in their actions. “On Thursdays, we host Broker Opens to support other agents in the community. We believe in collaboration, not competition. We want smooth deals for everyone.”
A Life Filled with Family and Passion
Outside of work, Allie leads a fulfilling and active life. She and her family live in the city on a small homestead where she raises chickens as pets and gardens. “I love to host and cook. During spring break, we had no less than 20 kids at our house at any given time,” she laughs. “We’re the gathering place.”
Her four boys are highly competitive athletes, primarily in baseball and football, which keeps the family on the road often. “When we’re not at home, we’re traveling for sports.”
Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Agents
For those looking to succeed in real estate, Allie emphasizes the importance of mentorship. “Find someone who supports you. Find a mentor who answers the phone and provides the guidance you need. The number one reason agents leave brokerages is a lack of support. That’s why Our OK Realty is structured differently—we provide a strong community and hands-on mentorship.”
She also credits her incredible admin team for keeping the business running smoothly. “Kasey Taylor, our Compliance Director, and Tiffani Munch, our Transaction Coordinator, are both licensed agents. They go above and beyond for our clients and agents, ensuring everything runs seamlessly.”
As an Enneagram 3, the Achiever, Allie thrives on setting and accomplishing goals. Her business partner, Colbey, is an Enneagram 8, the Challenger. “We’re opposites in every way, and it makes for the perfect yin and yang in running the company.”
Faith plays a significant role in Allie’s life and business, guiding her decisions and leadership style. “We are a faith-based company, and that shapes how we treat people and run our brokerage.”
