BRIDGETT GALE & Central Bank

As a vice president mortgage originator with Central Bank, Bridgett Gale blends financial expertise, real-world experience, and a genuine passion for helping clients navigate one of the most important journeys of their lives—financing a place to call home.

An Unexpected Path into Mortgage Lending

Like many successful professionals, Bridgett’s career path didn’t begin in the mortgage industry. In fact, her early ambitions were aimed toward accounting and possibly law school. While working in restaurants and attending college, Bridgett earned a degree in accounting and initially planned to pursue a CPA or legal career.

Life, however, had other plans.

At the time, Bridgett was raising a young family. She had just welcomed a new baby while also caring for two school-aged children, a responsibility that played a meaningful role in shaping the direction she chose after graduation. Rather than immediately pursuing graduate school, she stepped into the corporate world, building a career in business sales with AT&T Wireless.

During her time there, the company experienced a major merger with Cingular Wireless, which ultimately led to company-wide restructuring and severance packages for many employees.

Instead of seeing the moment as a setback, Bridgett viewed it as an opportunity—one that would ultimately redirect her path toward a career where she could combine her financial knowledge, work ethic, and love for helping people.

“I took about six months to spend time with my youngest child and really think about what I wanted to do next,” Bridgett recalls.

The answer came from an unexpected place—her husband. Having briefly worked in the mortgage industry himself before transitioning into corporate sales, he encouraged Bridgett to explore the field.

“He said, ‘I think you’d be great at this,’” Bridgett says with a smile.

Bridgett decided to give it a try, stepping into the mortgage role he had recently left. What started as a practical career move soon developed into a long-term passion of helping others achieve the dream of homeownership.

A Career Built on Solutions

Today, Bridgett thrives in an environment that many people would find overwhelming. Mortgage lending can be complex, with shifting regulations, varied financial situations, and tight timelines. But for Bridgett, those challenges are exactly what make the job rewarding.

“One thing I love is that every single day is different,” Bridgett explains. “You never wake up and do the same thing twice, and every day gives you the opportunity to help someone move closer to owning a home."

Rather than seeing obstacles, Bridgett prefers to think of the situations she encounters as puzzles waiting to be solved. Each loan presents its own set of circumstances—unique credit histories, employment situations, property types, or financial goals.

Her job, she says, is to find the right solution.

“You’re constantly solving things, finding the right product for the client, working with agents, and making sure everything comes together,” Bridgett says. “That challenge is what keeps the job exciting.”

A Team Effort

While Bridgett works closely with her clients, she’s quick to point out that mortgage lending is never a solo effort. Behind every successful closing is a team of professionals ensuring the process runs smoothly.

Bridgett works directly with a dedicated assistant who helps coordinate communication with clients and keeps transactions organized while Bridgett is out meeting with real estate partners or networking in the community. Bridgett also collaborates with processors and underwriters who handle the technical side of loan approvals.

Together, the group functions as a coordinated team with one clear goal: delivering a smooth experience for both clients and real estate professionals grounded on strong communication and trust.

“It’s about making sure nothing falls through the cracks and that the people we serve truly feel taken care of,” Bridgett says.

The Advantage of a Broad Lending Platform

Three years ago, Bridgett made the move to Central Bank, a decision she says expanded the ways she could serve her clients.

One of the key advantages, Bridgett explains, is the wide variety of loan products available through the bank. Because Central Bank operates both with in-house banking solutions and the ability to utilize outside investors, Bridgett can tailor financing options to fit many different financial situations.

That flexibility allows Bridgett to offer programs that may not always be available through traditional lenders.

For example, Bridgett can help clients with higher debt-to-income ratios, as well as specialized programs such as physician loans or zero-down options for teachers, police and firefighters. In addition, (all) loans are handled entirely within the bank, which can simplify the process and streamline communication for everyone involved.

“The focus is always on making the process easier for both the client and the real estate agent while making a positive impact along the way,” Bridgett says.

Bridgett also appreciates the culture within the organization, where customer service remains the top priority.

“Our leadership always emphasizes the customer first, then the real estate agents who help us grow our business,” Bridgett explains. “It’s a culture that really values relationships.”

Family at the Center

Outside the office, Bridgett’s life revolves around her family. A proud mother of four, Bridgett laughs when describing the wide range of ages among her children.

“I laugh that I had boys every ten years,” Bridgett says. “My sons are 31, 21, and 11, and right in the middle is my only girl, my 28-year-old daughter.”

Those family connections keep Bridgett busy, especially with an 11-year-old who is actively involved in competitive soccer. Watching games and supporting her children’s activities are among Bridgett’s favorite ways to spend time away from work.

Bridgett and her family also enjoy hosting game nights with friends, creating a relaxed space where everyone can gather and unwind.

When Bridgett does find a quiet moment to herself, she often heads outside.

“I love gardening,” Bridgett says. “It’s my way to turn everything off and reconnect with nature.”

Working in the soil, planting flowers, and tending to landscaping provides a welcome balance to the fast-paced world of mortgage lending.

A Philosophy of Service

Throughout Bridgett’s career, she has built her business around one guiding principle: putting people first.

Rather than taking a high-pressure sales approach, Bridgett focuses on building genuine relationships with clients and real estate partners. Bridgett believes trust and authenticity are the foundation of long-term success.

“I always try to put service to others above service to myself,” Bridgett says. “Doing the right thing is more important than focusing on what’s in my pocket.”

It’s a philosophy that has shaped both Bridgett’s reputation and her career.

“If you take care of people and do the right thing,” Bridgett says, “success tends to follow.”
