Trusted. Tried. True.
Corrie Egge has not just witnessed the evolution of real estate—she has helped shape it. This September, she celebrated an astounding 42 years in the business, a career that spans the days of paper MLS books and five-copy contracts to today’s fully digital transactions through Dotloop and mobile technology.
“Back then, we ran papers around town to get signatures, and buyers and sellers signed five copies of every original,” Corrie recalls. “I love the technology now—it allows us to do so much more than we did back then. I can definitely get more done in less time now,” she adds. For Corrie, the tools have changed, but her approach has remained consistent: thoughtful, diligent, and personal service to every client.
Northern Roots
Growing up in a graduating class of just thirteen, Corrie was the youngest of four siblings, and the first in her family to attend college. Determined to carve her own path, she defied expectations, married during college, and embraced a new life as a Christian, letting her faith shape every decision.
After graduating from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Business Administration, she and her husband moved to Oklahoma, where she worked at the University of Tulsa as the Assistant to the Graduate Dean and the Director of Research. But in the 1970s, a glass ceiling limited her earning potential in academia. “I was making less than $10,000 a year when I started,” she laments.
Why not shatter that glass ceiling?
“I knew when I was pregnant with my second that I wanted to do something that gave me more flexibility with the kids and also more control over how much I made,” Corrie says. Real estate, combined with her lifelong exposure to homes through her father, a builder, felt like the perfect fit. “I had a very strong sense that it was something that I could do and would enjoy doing. With a business degree and a lifetime spent in new homes being built, what could possibly be a better fit?”
That determination carried over into her real estate career, where Corrie navigated the evolving industry with resilience, creativity, and an unwavering sense of purpose. “I have been told that I have an unusual calm when in the middle of a crisis at work,” she notes, a quality her clients have come to rely on over decades of complex transactions.
Over four decades, Corrie has weathered personal and professional challenges, including financial shifts, difficult transactions, and heartbreak. In 2024, her team faced a profound loss with the passing of Callista Gregg, a friend of 30+ years and team member, to cancer. “That was one of the hardest things that I have ever been through,” she says. Corrie’s steady presence, guided by her faith, helped her team navigate the grief and continue forward. “My faith does lend perspective to any crisis, because I do trust God with the final outcome.”
Giving Back
Beyond transactions, Corrie’s passion lies in giving back. She leads a team of four licensed agents and Melissa Leedy, her Operations Manager of 15 years, sharing her knowledge and experience freely. Her influence extends to her family, children, and grandchildren, instilling in them the same values of faith, service, and excellence.
“I love sharing what I have been given, what I know, and what I have learned with my team, my kids, and my grandkids,” she says. Together with her husband, Ron, she hosts a community group at their home and actively participates in ministries and charities, including EveryDay Ministry, which she co-founded with Denise Lopez. Their work spans from providing water wells and building churches in Africa to scholarships for adoption and support for women overcoming incarceration.
Family + Fun
Family remains central to Corrie’s life. She and Ron recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, a milestone marking decades of shared adventures and devotion. Their three daughters—Kristen, a licensed REALTOR® on Corrie’s team and mother of two; Kelsey, the “center child” and a Sr. Escrow Officer at Community Title in Tulsa; and Kourtney, a physical therapist at Norman Regional Hospital—share in their parents’ love of family, the outdoors, and time together at their lake house. Sporting events, game nights, and shared meals keep them grounded amidst the demands of a high-achieving career.
Outside of real estate, Corrie’s interests reflect her vibrant curiosity and zest for life. A lifelong reader and lover of puzzles and games, she is also a devoted sports spectator. “I’ve always loved sports, whether it was high school basketball, baseball & soccer, college sports (OU), professional football, or even the Olympics. Watching competition is part of who we are,” she says. Her boundless enthusiasm and free-spirited nature—rooted in a childhood fascination with the hippy movement—have stayed with her, coloring both her personal life and professional ethos. “Although I never became a hippie,” she laughs, “I have maintained my free spirit over the years.”
To relax, Corrie likes to read historical novels. “I remember the day I learned to read,” she says with delight. “I was so excited!” It’s a great way to unwind from the stresses of real estate.
Top Tips
Through it all, Corrie has remained a mentor and model for aspiring real estate professionals. Her advice is simple yet profound: “Treat your business as a business, plan your work, go to work, and work your plan. Schedule events that involve your faith, family, friends, and fun first as much as possible, and then fill the rest of your schedule with work appointments, business planning, etc. Answer your phone. Build relationships with your clients and foster good relationships with other agents. Be the agent that other agents want to work with. Give back.”
Corrie Egge’s story is a masterclass in perseverance, faith, and purpose. From the small town that shaped her to the homes and hearts she has touched, she has left a lasting impact on the Oklahoma real estate landscape. As she often reminds herself and others: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Corrie has always striven to live a life of dedication, integrity, and unwavering passion. It doesn’t get any better than that.
