“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5

With a heart anchored in faith and a life centered on family, Makenzie Townsend turns real estate dreams into reality. Whether she’s guiding a first-time buyer to the keys of their dream home, cheering on her kids at the baseball field, or working cattle. Makenzie approaches life with the same commitment: put God first, love her people fiercely, and give her all in everything she does. Being “all in” has made her not just a trusted agent at Coldwell Banker Select’s Sapulpa office, but a beloved neighbor, community supporter, and friend.

How does she juggle it all?

She is thrilled to be in a unique partnership with her aunt, Lori McCaskey. Together, they’ve built a powerhouse team that blends experience, creativity, and trust. Lori, with seven years in the business, brings seasoned know-how, while Makenzie’s drive and adaptability keep the team nimble and client focused. “She needed help, I needed help—it just made sense,” Makenzie says.

She got her license in July 2019, became pregnant soon after, and officially partnered with Lori in 2020 for the McCaskey & Townsend Team. The two work seamlessly together, filling in for each other as needed, serving as sounding boards, and offering mutual support. Lori is also a constant source of Godly encouragement in Makenzie’s life.

The Road Less Traveled

Makenzie’s path to real estate was a winding road filled with lessons, hard work, and leaps of faith. Raised on her family’s land in Kellyville, she grew up with the value of hard work.

After graduating from Kellyville High School, where she played softball and embraced small-town life, she earned her cosmetology license from Sapulpa Beauty College and quickly rose to manage a busy salon.

“I loved working with hair, but I knew it wasn’t my forever job,” she comments. There was more in store for her.

A move into the mortgage industry as a junior loan processor opened her eyes to real estate’s possibilities. It planted the seed for a career that would perfectly blend her love for people, her drive to serve, and her commitment to her family.

Her personal life blossomed just as her professional dreams took shape. Makenzie met her husband, Britton, at a Cody Johnson concert in Tulsa, and just four months later, the two were engaged. “Saying yes to him was the best decision I’ve ever made,” she smiles. Marrying him was her defining path. “I would choose him all over again,” she raves. “He’s my steady hand, my calm in the storm, and the best daddy to our kids.” Today, Britton not only supports her career but also serves as a soldier in the U.S. Army, a role that reflects the couple’s shared values of loyalty, service, and strength.

Makenzie earned her real estate license online, passed her exam, and dove into the profession while starting a family. She and Britton welcomed their son, Trason, followed by their daughter, Austyn, two years later. During her second pregnancy, Makenzie even ran a boutique in Stillwater called Okie Exchange, which was another step in her career.

Now, she balances life as a full-time mom and full-time real estate agent. “My Mom works from home and my Nana stays with them at the house for a few hours,” she smiles. With her optimism, she makes it all work.

A Full Life

Life for the Townsend family is never dull. When they’re not at the baseball fields, you’ll find them fishing, swimming, or working cattle on her family’s land. Her parents still own the land and cattle, with a few of Makenzie’s running alongside theirs. Living just 300 yards from her parents keeps the family close, and Makenzie treasures the opportunity to raise her children surrounded by land and love.

Outside of real estate, she runs a shirt pressing business and takes pride in giving back to her community. From sponsoring youth sports and supporting local events to shopping small whenever possible, Makenzie pours her time, energy, and resources into lifting others up.

In her business, Makenzie is passionate about helping clients win in today’s competitive market—whether that means finding their dream home or securing top dollar for their sale. She makes the process exciting instead of stressful, guiding clients step-by-step with clarity, confidence, and genuine care. Her business philosophy is simple but powerful: relationships first, transactions second. “Listen, care, and protect your integrity,” she says. “Stay consistent, keep learning, and trust the process—your work ethic and reputation will take you further than any quick win.”

Rock Solid

Grounded by her faith, Makenzie lives by the belief that you can only control what you can control—and keeping a positive mindset is key.

“Once you get into a negative mindset, everything spirals. Stay grounded, trust God, and keep moving forward,” she says. "You cannot expect God to bless what you are too lazy to build.” As Makenzie explains, “While God can provide opportunities, guidance, and favor, we still have a responsibility to put in the work. If we sit back, procrastinate, or avoid the effort needed to build something—whether it’s a career, a relationship, a ministry, or a dream—we can’t expect God to simply drop the finished result in our laps.”

“Real estate can be a whirlwind with all the moving parts, but I trust God through it all. Daily affirmations and a good walk help keep me grounded, clear-headed, and ready to take on whatever comes my way,” she adds.

For Makenzie Townsend, real estate is more than contracts, closings, and commission checks. That’s just the icing on the cake. To her, real estate is about something much deeper – faith, family, and finding the place where each client feels truly at home. With her heart for service, she’s making a difference—one happy homeowner at a time.
