“When her feet hit the floor, the devil says, ‘Oh no, she’s up.’”
That’s the kind of woman Jennifer McCowan is—fierce, determined, faith-fueled, unstoppable.
A powerhouse at Chinowth & Cohen, Jennifer carries a fire in her soul and a smile that never quits. Born and raised in Bixby, Oklahoma, her roots run deep. Her uncle helped build much of the area—literally—and her dad used to say, “Jennifer could sell a brick to a stranger.” That boldness? It’s in her DNA.
But don’t let the southern charm fool you—her hustle is unmatched. After years as a stay-at-home mom, Jennifer took a leap of faith into real estate with one clear goal: her daughters. “They were my why,” she says. “I wanted to provide, to hustle, and to be fully present in their lives.”
She earned her license and hit the ground running. Within her first month, she landed her first listing. By year’s end, she’d closed $2.2 million in volume. The next year, she doubled it. Six years later, her career sales sit just shy of $26 million.
Her formula? Faith, grit, determination—and a whole lot of heart.
“There were days when my back was against the wall,” Jennifer shares. “But God made a way. I stand on the foundation my parents gave me—the faith of Jesus Christ. That’s what shapes me as a mom, a member of this community, and a REALTOR®.”
When Sheryl Chinowth saw her potential, she gave Jennifer the platform to soar—and Jennifer delivered. She’s built her business on referrals, relationships, and results. “First-time homebuyers? I love them,” she says. “Walking with someone through such a personal, emotional process is an honor.”
Her aunt often tagged along on early showings, offering unfiltered honesty. “She wasn’t about to let buyers walk away without a house,” Jennifer laughs. “I learned so much from her.”
Known for her “stacked closings” and ability to thrive in any market, Jennifer’s philosophy is simple: “There’s always opportunity. You just have to show up and be ready for it.”
Her advice to new agents? “Don’t wait until you feel ready—there’s no such thing. Show up, put in the work, and the results will follow.”
When she flipped her first home, she went beyond surface changes, committing to a true transformation. During the project, she met a man who told her, “I was your uncle’s brick guy—I bricked all these houses.” For Jennifer, it brought the work—and her journey—full circle.
Recharging at Home
Outside of real estate, Jennifer’s world revolves around home and family. She lives in a beautiful new home with a gourmet kitchen and a backyard overlooking a greenbelt. “If it’s not within two miles of home, I’m not going,” she jokes. “I’m a total homebody.”
Her home is the heart of the holidays—filled with cooking, baking, and open-door hospitality. She shares it with her two pups, Willow (a goldendoodle) and Winston (a cavapoo), and her daughters—Lillian, active in FFA, and Olivia, who plays basketball. Both have a love for shopping, and they know that means Mom’s always on the move. “If they want something nice, Mama’s gotta work,” Jennifer says.
Her personal retreat? “Bathtubs,” she laughs. “I’m obsessed. I have a 61-inch tub—it’s my sanctuary.”
Jennifer McCowan isn’t just selling houses—she’s building a legacy of faith, family, and fearlessness. With grit, grace, and drive, she proves daily that anything is possible.
So if you hear heels clicking and confidence coming your way, watch out. Jennifer’s up—and she’s just getting started.
