For Dee Pierce, life has always been about people—her family, her faith, her clients, and her community. As a Licensed Independent Agent with HealthMarkets, she brings all of that together in a career she considers both a calling and a blessing. “I love providing service to people through health insurance,” she says. “I totally believe that I was prepared for this moment.”
Rooted in Oklahoma
A proud native Oklahoman, Dee has called Owasso home since 1979. She graduated from Owasso High School, and she and her husband, Michael, recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. A member of the Cherokee Nation, Dee says her heritage and her deep Oklahoma roots have shaped who she is.
She and Michael met during their college years in Norman, and they’ve been loyal Sooner fans ever since. For much of her married life, Dee focused on raising their four children—Seth, Madalyn, Aaron, and Mitchell, who is married to Melissa. “I was privileged to be able to stay home with my kids,” she says. “That time is something I will always cherish.”
Finding a New Path
While her children were growing up, Dee also ran her own organizing business, helping families and companies create order in their homes, businesses and business processes. Then, when the COVID-19 lockdown hit in 2020, everything shifted. Her youngest son, Seth, was finishing his senior year of high school, and Dee suddenly found herself looking for the next chapter.
That’s when HealthMarkets entered her life. “The opportunity just dropped in my lap,” Dee recalls. “I thought, ‘I can do this.’ As crazy as it sounds, it felt like God was preparing me for that moment. It has truly been my calling.”
Serving Clients with Care
HealthMarkets is a nationwide brokerage with access to more than 300 carriers. Dee’s team helps individuals, families, and small businesses navigate the often-confusing world of insurance, finding coverage that balances both financial realities and personal needs. Their services span health insurance, Medicare plans, life insurance, disability coverage, and long-term care options.
But for Dee, it isn’t just about the policies. It’s about the people. “I love the relationships that I make,” she explains. “I’m a people person, and my clients become like family. I want to serve them with white-glove service. I want them to know they can call me and we will do everything we can for them.”
What Makes Her Different
In an industry often associated with frustration and confusion, Dee sets herself apart with authenticity and compassion. “The thing that differentiates me is service and caring,” she says. “We all have opinions about health insurance and how it’s marketed, but I always want to come from that proactive place to really customize an option for people.”
That approach has fueled steady growth. Five years after she first joined HealthMarkets, Dee has built a thriving business and is now growing her own team by bringing on new agents. “I’m building a legacy for my family,” she says with gratitude. “I feel so blessed to be where I am today.”
Family and Faith First
Even with a busy schedule, Dee remains deeply connected to her family and her faith. She and Michael lead a married life group at Life Church, something they’ve done for more than a decade. Together, they enjoy traveling, spending time with their kids, and simply being together.
In her free time, Dee also enjoys reading, shopping, and quiet moments with loved ones. No matter what she’s doing, her life is anchored in relationships and service—the same values that guide her professionally.
What She Wants People to Remember
For Dee, success isn’t about titles or numbers. It’s about leaving people with the right impression. “I want someone to walk away knowing they have met a true and authentic person who isn’t going to change over time,” she says. “What you see is what you get.”
Her sincerity, combined with her commitment to providing the best possible care for her clients, makes her a trusted advisor in an industry where trust is everything.
