“True success happens when your passion fuels your perseverance,” says Francheska Umpierre of Tulsa United Realty Group.

Where did she learn perseverance? That quality was ingrained in her at a young age. Growing up as an only child in a hardworking, middle-class Puerto Rican family left an impression on her. So was the importance of real estate.

“Watching my parents and grandparents build stability through real estate taught me early on the true value of homeownership.”

Interestingly, real estate was never on her radar. What was on her mind? Social work. She and her husband moved from Puerto Rico to Tulsa, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Science in 2008. Afterwards, she worked as a leader and supervisor in call centers and sales. Her experience in social work helped her develop client-care skills.

Francheska didn’t emerge on the real estate scene until 2020, when she got her real estate license.

“My real estate career began unexpectedly when my in-laws bought their first home. Their REALTOR® needed a bilingual team member, so I started part-time translating for Spanish-speaking clients. That role quickly grew as I shadowed top agents and learned the business hands-on,” she explains.

She has a heart of gratitude for the mentors who trusted her with clients. “It was one of the best investments in my career. Later, I transitioned to a transaction fee brokerage, where I was always supported with my innovative ideas.”

Eventually, Francheska launched her own team.

Becoming A Broker-Owner

In 2023, she took the next step in her career, becoming a Broker-Owner. With the partnership of Andrea Mesina and the support of her husband Ruben Rivera, they co-founded Tulsa United Realty Group. Their slogan is simple: Unite. Invest. Prosper.

She says, “I love real estate, but even more, I love mentoring agents and building a culture rooted in values and growth. Creating Tulsa United Realty Group gave me the chance to support both clients and REALTORS®, while also finding more balance in doing what I love.”

Throughout her career, she has personally sold over $22 million. Her brokerage? Tulsa United Realty Group closed over $16 million in sales and ranked #80 in office sales volume among all brokerages in the MLS. She keeps a relaxed and productive vibe in the office, usually playing instrumental versions of top hits. Setting the tone makes a difference for agents.

Francheska goes above and beyond, catering to clients of all languages. She explains, “A core goal at Tulsa United Realty Group is making sure our clients feel understood. Right now, we serve clients in English, Spanish, and Romanian, and we’re committed to expanding those options even further.”

The brokerage is in the right hands. As a Diamond Award Winner, Francheska has been recognized as a Top Producer for three consecutive years. She also regularly attends national trainings and real estate summits in Las Vegas to continue growing and bringing value to her team.

Francheska is eager to help others be their best. By opening her own brokerage, she could create her own culture and values. She says, “At my brokerage, I encourage agents to see themselves as trusted guides, not just salespeople. Real estate is about building relationships, not transactions.”

She adds, “Our mission is to be a true resource for the community, promoting equality, fairness, and unity. Whether someone is buying, selling, or investing, we focus on a transparent process that builds both wealth and legacy.”

Francheska also selects strategic partnerships. She comments, “We carefully choose lenders and vendors who bring real value to our clients, not just relationships based on convenience. I’m proud of the partnerships we’ve built with title companies and vendors who also stand behind our community events.”

Juggling It All

There is nothing easy about real estate. “Balancing business and family has been one of my biggest challenges. Being both a REALTOR® and Broker-Owner has required real sacrifices of time with family and friends,” she shares.

Being a wife, mother, mentor, and business owner isn’t for the faint of heart.

How does she do it all? She credits her success to hard work, faith in God, and the unwavering support of her husband, mom, and children. Let’s not forget about faithful mentors and leaders who guided her along the way.

Francheska is also careful to take time to relax and recharge with her husband, Ruben Rivera, who is her co-owner and biggest supporter. They are blessed with two amazing boys, Derek (14) and Jake (11).

“As a family, we love spending time outdoors, whether it’s camping, kayaking, boating, or traveling to lakes and rivers with our camper group of friends. My next goal is to start exploring more national and international destinations together,” she shares.

“People are usually surprised, but I’m pretty good at both pool and cooking,” she smiles.

“I’m not one to scroll TikTok for fun. I stick to Facebook to stay connected when time allows,” she adds with a laugh.

Other pastimes include going to Pinot’s Palette and Purple Glaze, as well as playing board games.

Top Tips

Francheska has skyrocketed to success in the real estate industry. How did she do it? Here’s her secret sauce:
· Find balance. Don’t forget about sleep, nutrition, and time with loved ones.
· Ask questions. Many successful brokers and agents are willing to share advice that can change your business.
· Learn by shadowing or partnering. Offer to split a transaction—bring the client and learn directly from a top producer.
· Consider joining a team. A good team provides leads, training, and mentorship that are worth the commission split while you learn.
· Invest in your career. Real estate is one of the most affordable and lucrative careers, but you have to put in the work and resources to grow.
